Person-Centred
We recognize each resident as an individual with their own history, strengths, challenges, and preferences. Supports are tailored rather than one-size-fits-all.
About
A supportive, family-style home for adult men living with mental health challenges, located in a restored heritage property in downtown Brampton.
Our mission is to provide a safe, dignified home and a structured environment where men living with mental health challenges can maintain stability, develop daily living skills, and stay connected to their community.
We believe that every person deserves respect, privacy, and the opportunity to participate in making decisions about their life and care.
Genesis Lodge operates from a historic property on Church Street East, originally built in the 19th century and known locally for its distinctive architecture and long-standing presence in the community.
Over time, the home has transitioned from a private residence to a supportive housing setting for individuals with mental health challenges, while maintaining the warmth and character of a family home.
The building has served as a residence in Brampton for generations, with many original architectural features preserved.
Genesis Lodge became a supportive home for men with mental illness, offering structured routines and coordinated supports.
We continue to adapt our programs, supports, and partnerships based on resident needs, community resources, and best practices in mental health support.
We recognize each resident as an individual with their own history, strengths, challenges, and preferences. Supports are tailored rather than one-size-fits-all.
We focus on what residents can do, and help build on those strengths to support daily functioning and engagement with meaningful activities.
We work with families, case workers, physicians, clinics, hospitals, and community programs to coordinate care and support continuity.
Genesis Lodge is supported by a small, dedicated team of staff and community partners. While we do not publish a full staff directory online for privacy reasons, residents and families can expect support from:
